It's my favorite time of year again, which begs for a blog update. The air conditioner is off, candles are lit, and the patio door is open. So, here we go.
I have a new candle in my life: Blueberry Pumpkin Patch from Bath and Body Works. They are usually 2 for $20.
I love to crosstitch and have several Halloween designs that I've always intended on doing. This is the year, y'all. I'm doing it. I went to Michaeals tonight for my thread and fabric.
And on another needlepoint note, I am learning to embroider. I bought a beginner's kit I found on sale. I'm so excited.
If you love a good blog, check out Jones Design Company. I downloaded this free Autumn printable. It's already in a frame and displayed in my living room. Visit her site for your free printable and tons more!
I've spent all summer decorating. Here is a picture of the wall decor above the sofa. I'm into birds and owls right now. Clearly. My bright orange owl finally went on sale at Anthropologie. I've been coveting it for over a year. I painted the glass in the yellow frame with chalkboard paint, and displayed fabric in embroidery hoops. Now, I just need to put a picture in the little green frame.
And finally, I thought I'd share what I'm currently reading: The Midwife: A memoir of birth, joy, and hard times. I highly recommend this book. There is a PBS mini series based off the books, and I plan to watch it after I read the rest of the books.
That's it for now! Small group is gearing up for another year this Sunday, and I have a fun evening planned for my girls. I will definitely be posting about that!
